Viktoryia Makarskaya is a Data Science expert at Aristek with a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Radiophysics.

Her work covers multiple areas of applied data science, including time series analysis, transactional data analysis, computer vision tasks, audio processing, and work with large language models. She has experience across several domains, including healthcare and banking, where data accuracy and well-reasoned decisions can have real, tangible impact.
A large part of Viktoryia’s work is connected to research and experimentation. She regularly tests different modeling approaches, compares results, and looks for solutions that hold up not only in theory, but also in real-world conditions. She is driven by the idea that data and analytics can support critical decisions – and, in some cases, genuinely improve or even save lives.

Outside of work, Viktoryia is deeply into sports. She plays volleyball at a competitive level and has taken part in multiple tournaments, valuing teamwork, trust, and shared responsibility. She was raised with the belief that failure is not a dead end, but a signal to look for a better way forward – a mindset shaped by years of trying different sports and hobbies and learning from each experience.
