About the author
Working across both data science and ML engineering gives him a particularly complete view of how data quality, modeling choices, evaluation, and infrastructure constrain and reinforce one another, determining how reliably the solution performs in real conditions.
Artem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Control Methods, a foundation he has since carried into work across forecasting, NLP, recommendation systems, computer vision, LLMs and a wide spread of industrial AI.
He continues to build on that base through professional training, including OTUS’s Advanced Machine Learning program, Mail.ru’s Technosphere Big Data program, and IBM’s SQL course on Coursera. Recently he has also added management training through Eduson’s CEO course and Aristek’s five-module management program.
And this background underpins the range of roles Artem has taken on, while his experience has carried him across very different operational settings, from building demand-forecasting systems for pharma and rethinking how field teams plan pharmacy visits to developing computer vision for object counting from drone footage and migrating enterprise data flows to a modern ETL architecture.
Today, Artem’s analytical approach is put to work in manufacturing, where his role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering.
At Aristek, he leads computer vision work for quality control in automobile production, combining data science with the engineering and technical coordination behind the full model lifecycle.
Artem’s low tolerance for small inaccuracies shows up in the way he improves the process around the models, caring about narrowing even the smallest gap between projected metrics and real-world use.
He introduced version control into training and data pipelines, reduced the number of manual steps required whenever new models are released, and made the entire workflow easier to trace, maintain, and evolve over time.
However different the projects, Artem holds on to one motto: in any complex task or seemingly hopeless situation, there is an unexpected solution that makes the impossible possible, as long as you believe in the goal.
He shares this mindset in his writing, including articles published on Medium, which grow directly on the questions and frictions he encounters in practice.
Outside work, Artem plays table tennis, which is perhaps a fitting choice for someone whose projects also often reward quick judgment and a feel for when a small change of angle can shift the whole game
